Kāuru Education values working collaboratively with clients to provide te reo Māori and tikanga Māori courses that are contextualised. This means that we are constantly thinking outside the box to tailor a te reo Māori and tikanga Māori course just for you and your group.
Modes of delivery include and are not limited to individual or group learning by face to face sessions, online learning or block sessions such as noho wānanga and kura reo (full immersion).
Kāuru Education was one of four providers in Aotearoa who piloted Te Ahu o Te Reo Māori in 2019 – 2020. This was a national Te Reo Māori programme for Teachers, with a nation wide roll out from 2021.

Kanohi ki te Kanohi
Following the impacts of Covid-19 it has become abundantly clear that learners value face to face learning interactions.
It is a tried and tested approach to learning in general and has proved to be the ideal approach to experiencing te reo Māori in particular.
Whether that be in classrooms, in the taiao (environment), during a noho wānanga or at a kura reo, when te reo Māori is at the ascendant your fluency is accelerated.

Kāuru Education can provide online courses to supplement a face to face approach and provide learning predominately online.
The programmes accommodate levels from absolute beginners with an emphasis on context for sentence structures, phrases and expressions in te reo Māori.
